Numerous people from across the state have
been provided training to help deliver the Kentucky Growth
Readiness for Water Quality educational materials. As a
part of that training, these individuals received a set
of support materials to help them with their job of educating
local officials. However, as more materials become available,
or questions arise, the Commonwealth Water Education Project
will provide additional support materials via this web site. These
materials may also be useful to others wishing to deliver
water education in their community. The following links
are provided to support Growth Readiness for water quality
with links to other web sites, new maps, and other materials
trainers may need. Let us know if there are other materials
we can provide.

Graph
and Effects of Impervious Cover slides
This download contains a two-slide
PowerPoint file with a graph correlating in-stream water
quality vs. impervious cover; the second slide contains
several photographs illustrating the effects of different
degrees of impervious cover. This can be used to help explain
and illustrate the effects of imperviousness on water quality.
Methodology
For Creating Impervious Cover Maps
This document answers technical questions
regarding the creation of maps indicating the degree of
imperviousness used in the Growth Readiness presentations.
Updated County
Maps
Each Growth Readiness trainer was
provided a CD with 120 county maps based on most recent
data. As new data become available, these maps will be updated.
To download maps, select a county from the preferred drop-down
list. If you wish to download all 120 counties, choose "All
Counties" from the drop-down list.
Warning: "All Counties"
options link to very large files (47- 228 MB)
